Parade Home
Featured in House and Home Magazine
The 2010
Acadian Home Builders Association Parade
of Homes Amie staged is featured in the May edition of House
and Home magazine.
What
a pleasure it was to help Nick Daigle of Daigle Homes, LLC with his first
Parade home, which located in the rapidly growing development of Lafitte’s
Landing and is being marketed for sale by Conni
Smith of Vaneaton and Romero.
A
very large thank you is due Ramsey and Nicole, the owners of Ma Maison
furniture, for providing the beautiful furnishings that were used in the
home.
If
you would like to download a PDF
version of the magazine, photos of the home Amie staged can be viewed
starting on pages 26 and 27.
Realtor Testimonial
"Amie
was readily available to meet with my client and myself. Her assessment
and recommendations for home staging took about an hour of time and were
well received by the homeowner. A well spent hour; home under contract
within 2 short weeks! Can't wait to bring repeat business!"

When is the Best Time to Stage a Home?
Since
home staging has become main stream, home sellers, builders and real estate
agents are rapidly catching up to the concept, but the big question has
become "When to Stage?"
Reasons
for staging are many and varied. Here are the most common..
| The
house is in disrepair |
Homebuyers
today do not want to spend their time fixing things – I have
a team of people who are capable of performing repairs in order to
overcome this objection made by potential purchasers |
| The
house is dirty and shows poorly |
Armed with
my cleaning checklist and a list of daily, weekly tidy up tips this
is an easy fix |
| Negative
curb appeal |
I have prepared
an easy to follow check list of items that must be addressed to improve
curb appeal |
| The
house is cluttered and uninviting |
This issue
is addressed by decluttering, one of the main principles of staging |
| The
house is empty |
With use of
rental furniture and my accessories that empty house can be seen as
a home |
| Furniture
and accessories are poorly placed |
Another principle
of home staging addresses flow and scale |
| The
house has been on the market for too long without an offer |
Something
is wrong – the Real Estate Agent and owner can’t keep
doing the same thing and expecting a different result |
| The
seller needs to sell as quickly as possible |
Statistics
show staged homes sell quicker and for more money |
