10 Reasons Why a Home Stager Should Be Part of Your Team

Ever hear the phrase, "smart people know what they don't know?" Smart Realtors and home-builders know when it's time to invite a home stager to be part of their team. Here are 10 reasons why.

Reason #1
Sellers need to be taught they are no longer dwellers in their property. Once the property is listed it changes into a commodity to be sold instead of their beloved family home. During the home staging process, sellers realize it’s not about them anymore. They then become excited about the changes they need to make and quickly make the mental shift from dweller to seller.

Reason #2
A stager provides the unbiased eye of the potential purchaser. We all spend so much time making our houses our own it is virtually impossible to be objective enough to see what a potential buyer will see.

Reason #3
A stager knows that a potential buyer is swayed by a home’s decor. We have all seen a house that seems lifeless due to the seller’s decor or the fact that the home is vacant. A stager knows how to take a house from blah and lifeless to WOW. Burs will then say, "I have to have this house."

Reason #4
A home stager is able to identify the positives and negatives of the property. With training and skill stagers know how to accent the positives and downplay the negatives.

Reason #5
A home stager will always pay attention to detail sending the message the property has been well maintained and cared for.

Reason #6
A home stager makes properties warm and inviting. This is especially true in new construction or vacant properties. By setting the mood, potential purchasers can imagine themselves living in the space and can’t wait to make it their home.

Reason #7
A home stager will turn a very personal home into the commodity it is and help get it sold.

Reason #8
After working with a home stager the seller is confident their property is the best it can be. No more nagging doubts about whether or not they have done all they can do. The seller can be confident their property stands head and shoulders above their competition.

Reason #9
A home stager is able to provide a list of practical does and donts as well as daily tidy up tips to ensure the property remains looking its best.

Reason #10
A home stager knows how to create that "model home" look sellers are drawn to.

Testimonial from RE/MAX Realtor, Renee Bourg

"Amie went above and beyond, exceeding my expectations when staging my mother's home. She made the home warm and inviting. Amie is punctual, hard working and has an eye for detail. She knows just where to place furniture and accessories in order to make a home more appealing. Amie’s prices are very reasonable. Needless to say we had an accepted offer within days of her staging and closed within 30 days. I will recommend Amie in the future to all of my clients whose home needs a facelift whether small or large. I know Amie can and will do a good job."
